Affirmations for Self Healing

Louise L. Hay is also known as one of the founders of the self-help movement. Her first book, Heal Your Body, was published in 1976, long before it was fashionable to discuss the connection between the mind and body.

Trust life to hear and respond to your positive words. Say these affirmations every day and your whole world will change for the better.

I want to share a beautiful eulogy that my sister wrote for our father.

“I start by saying that I am very proud to be your daughter, I am very lucky. You leave us, despite you not being here, many treasures.

I was fortunate to feel protected when I was young, hugging to your waist. It was a magical moment that I will always remember. You always made us feel that everything will be alright. That was the kind of protection that you always gave us, without words, with facts.
That paternal protection of the always present, even in silence.
Your presence , protection and goodness always harbored many people.

I was fortunate to learn what it means to be consistent between what we think, say and do . Always taught us by example to be hardworking , serious and responsible . You taught us to be correct, honest and good with words. Your family, friends and people who worked with you always remembered you fondly for the great example you gave us.

I was fortunate to learn to appreciate art and beauty. Through your eyes and your colors , you taught us that beauty is everywhere and we are all hopelessly impressionistic thank to you. If we visit a museum , you are present with us there.

I have the fortune to love reading and aquire knowledge. You taught us to be curious and that there are no limits . You taught us that nothing is impossible , only there are unabled people, and never to give up. Always encouraged us to follow our dreams.

I was fortunate to know a little of that philosophy of yours, so simple. Never complaining and always see the positive side of things. Always showed it to even to your final days and we admire your strength and your way of being.

I was fortunate to know the magic and mystery. And by leaving us on this date, so significant , show us that in every chaos there is always an order, that everything has a hidden meaning .
It’s your message to us that life goes on and it is here to be lived. We celebrate then life and cheer up that we have life because of you.

Thank you for being a role model . All who crossed your path, are glad that have met you , you were a great man , and now you are our angel and our light .

You are a lighthouse that illuminates and guides us .

I hope we can all follow your footsteps . Thank you and farewell my sun.

Te quiero papa lindo.

Good path my old man.”

My Mother

Difficult times right now for my mother, she is 80 years old and separate from my father with whom she lived for the last 56 years, because of his illness and he was transferred to a nursery home.Even though these thought days are well noted in her face and body,
she is a strong woman and a fighter.

For the last five years she passed three operations, two of them for hip replacement in the same place, so imagine the pain she must have had for so long.

The point is that she filled THE CARD THAT KEEPS YOU ON TRACK and one of the things that she wrote down was, I walk, simple as that but difficult to prove it.

She kept visualizing herself walking around, walking.

Now after 3 years after her surgery, she walks incredible, without any help whatsoever.

In these days she faces another major impact in her life, might lose her partner soon, and with determination and strength she focuses in what she wishes and dreams.

She had been an immigrant twice, the first time when she was 22 from France to Colombia in the 1950’s and the second time when she was 65 from Colombia to Spain, I believe these episodes help to make her a strong woman and have a good self esteem which proves a very valuable value
to have.

I am very proud of her!

Hope – Is in your mind!

Today I met a nice guy that is 99 Years old!
I am running a project for a “White House” in the high school of my neighborhood, that will met grown up volunteers with teens pupils,
so I am looking for volunteers, and I met this great guy (old person with a young mind).

I told him about the project and the needs of the place and what struck me most about him, is that he wants to be involve with a purpose, he checks what options are there for him to be useful and what he can contribute actively on it.

He is a great volunteer that works in many projects, one of them is making a green garden in a kinder garden with help of the kids.

What Hope has to do with it? Well in his point of view, hope is within, you make it, you are completely involved in it, and you have passion with the things that go around you.

He stills drive, has a cell phone and is completely active in his daily life. Movement and a good sense of humor are a key ingredient for his life, so this is part of his well being and he arrive to this fantastic age by giving hope to himself. A great attitude!

Hope is in your mind!

Fill THE CARD THAT KEEPS YOU ON TRACK and give more hope to your life.

The Pygmalion Effect

Psychologist Robert Rosenthal saw this happening in school systems between teacher and student and dubbed it the “Pygmalion Effect’-named after the Greek myth of a man named Pygmalion, then a king of Cyprus, carved a statue of a perfect woman, who falls in love with the statue that he created to such a degree that he asked the gods to make the statue alive so he can love her and she can loved him back.

Essentially what he discovered was that when teachers expect high performance from some children, the children do in fact, show better results. Label them as “gifted” (even without supposed evidence to support the label) and the teacher will elicit gifted performance from the students.

Long before this research was done, human relations guru Dale Carnegie wrote, `Become genuinely interested in other people.` When we are genuinely interested in others, really curious about them, they feel respected and valued. Implied in our interest is the suggestion that they have a lot to offer. As we show our interest, they tend to become more interesting, more creative, and more capable.

One of the most valuable NLP presuppositions that I consciously adopt each day is: “every person already has all the necessary resources to affect any desired change”. What this means is, if a person wants to change in any way, they can do it! They have all the inner resources. Resources are thought of as internal images, sounds and feelings. They can be memories in the form of reference experiences, whether that person has done it directly, or has seen or heard someone else do it. They may lack the “how” but they have the capability.

If you make a conscious choice to expect the best from others, you will tend to get it, from friends, family members, colleagues, and service people. Your behavior toward them, genuinely expressed, will begin to create the self-fulfilling prophecy that people are often more than they seem.

Stories and Mind

Try this little exercise.

Select something you “need,” and then tell yourself it is something you “should have.” Can you feel the shift in your psychology? Next select something you “should have,” then tell yourself it is something you “need.” Try the following:

Change something you have to do to something you choose to do.

“I have to go to work” to “I choose to go to work.”

Change something you have to do to something you want to do.

“I have to clean the house” to “I want to clean the house.”

Change something you ought to do to something you would love to do.

“I ought to write her a thank you note” to “I would love to write her a thank you note.”

Your theory about the world is deduced from your interpretations and beliefs. That theory then determines what you observe in the world.

We seek out only that information that confirms our beliefs and theories about ourselves and the world. People who believe they are creative see evidence of their creativity everywhere, and people who do not believe they are creative see evidence that confirms this everywhere.

Like the story of Vera Fryling, a Jewish teenager on the run from the Gestapo, she lived undercover in Berlin during the Holocaust. During this time she imagined that she was a doctor, a psychiatrist in a free land. Overcoming the Nazis, Soviet army and a bout with cancer, Fryling ended up on the faculty of the San Francisco Medical School. “Imagination,” she says, “can help one transcend the insults life has dealt us.”

The surrealist artist Salvador Dali was pathologically shy as a child. He hid in closets and avoided all human contact until his uncle counseled him on how to overcome this shyness. He advised Dali to be an actor and to pretend he played the part of an extrovert. At first Dali was full of doubts as he began to act the part. When he adopted the pose of an extrovert and made it obvious to himself and others by acting the part, his brain soon adapted itself to the role he was playing. Dali’s pretending changed his psychology.

So which stories are we telling to ourselves?

If we want to change something in our lives, we better start using imagination and visualization techniques for that purpose.

Try The Silva Method or write in THE CARD THA KEEPS YOU ON TRACK, the results will manifest.

I just came from a reunion with long lost friends from early childhood, five women and myself decided to get together in a different country without any members of our own family only the long lost friends.

We haven’t seen each other for years and few for over 30 years, and what most impact me was the way that we connect . We were bond as if we have being living close by over the years.

I realized that friendship is a state of mind, when you see and meet friends from childhood without family members, you feel young and happy for no reason.

The stories do not end, the expression of time is meaningless, you can speak about something that happened a year ago and also that happened 15 years ago and emotions arise from all over. The motivation is in power, the energy is strong and the vibrations are good.

I appreciate every moment of this reunion and feel gratitude for having the option to do it. For me it was important and I could see that for the others was also a reunion worthwhile having.

We called this reunion “a gift” that we offer to ourselves in the middle of busy lives.

In The Card that Keeps you onTrack try to find time for long lost friends and you too will receive a gift!

The vessel

Today I met with a friend of mine who is from Russia, San Petersburg.

I have known her for four years, she is a single mother of 35 years old, her daughter is 15 years old, and she has to struggle to survive.

The last two years were very tough for her, she went on big debts and changing flats many times, she works as independent and she is a very practical woman.

I gave her THE CARD around eight months ago, she took it seriously, she wrote on it what she wanted, the kind of life she deserves and the important things for her to focus on.

Today I met her and she describes to me her life in a story:

“I am a vessel, a big ship in this huge blue ocean, rounded by water.
In the vessel there are friends, family, clients and debtors, the vessel ships without a specific route, some days it goes north and other days goes west and east. It flows with the currents of the water. Big storms hits it every now and then, few beautiful days come by and most of the days goes around without a compass.
Since the day I decided to write in THE CARD, this vessel has a direction, is using the compass and is getting where I want. It gave me faith, faith in myself!. I do not feel lost, I feel on the right path to success.  The same all people go with me in this route. My attitude changed and I am the captain of this vessel today”.

I am very happy for her, so if you know someone that needs help in choosing their right direction, give him or her THE CARD THAT KEEPS YOU ON TRACK.

Swan Lake

Last night I went to see the performance of the Moscow Ballet, Swan Lake.  What a performance, the dedication of these ballet dancers is fantastic. I am speechless.

They dance for two and a half hours with such a spark, their moves are so exact and perfect. They push their bodies to perfection, even with the expression in their faces.

These dancers prove that dedication, wiliness and efforts can bring results but most of all the focus they put into their performance, their dance it is what is it all about.

The costumes were very detailed and beautiful, the tutus were magnificent specially the black one.

A lovely performance and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys watching dance or would like to experience the ballet.

It was elegant, exciting and breathtakingly beautiful.

A young woman and horses

I met this young woman named Sandra from Catalunya – Spain, she is very lively, hard worker and enthusiastic.

She works as a tour guide with horses in the area of Besalu a beautiful medieval town. She took me and my family for a trip of one day around their gorgeous country side area, she explained very good the principles and rules of how to ride a horse, she even gave us a lesson in the menage.

I ride horses before, and felt and thought that she was born with horses, that she was around them for years.

At lunch break I found out that she just started to ride horses a year ago and took lessons as a tour guide. She had this dream of her riding a horse with a dog close by since she was a small kid, she loved animals and was very natural around them.

She grew up in a small town without any horses, her family never took her for riding lessons and at the age of sixteen she dropout school and tried many types of work, she moved to Barcelona and found herself working in  a dog hairdresser.

I believe she was focus in her dream as a kid and with a good attitude and perseverance she achieved her goal, today at 21 years old she is full of joy and happy doing what she loves.

It is obvious for her that this environment with horses, trips and animals are the right place for her to be. For me it is even nicer to see a young woman with  that kind of spark and magic.
